As Kourtney Kardashian would say, you must always “Poosh yourself” to try new things—such as eating vegan chicken in bed with your husband.
Days into their marriage, the reality star and the Blink-182 drummer have joined forces to support a cause they both believe in: veganism.
In a turn of events that surprised even us, Kardashian and Barker starred in an ad campaign for the plant-based chicken brand Daring. And the photos are a mix of steamy and hilarious—much like Kravis.
In one shot, Mr. and Mrs. Barker are seen eating the food in a hotel bed. Kardashian is in lingerie: a red slipdress with black lace detailing, black tights, and red heels. She wears a high ponytail, dark eye makeup, and red lipstick as she bites into a vegan shish kebab. Barker, meanwhile, lies across the bed, under Kardashian’s legs, wearing nothing but black pants and diamond and silver chains, and also eating some vegan chicken. Surrounding the pair on the bed are various dishes using the plant-based food, which Daring says is made from just six natural ingredients and comes in four spice blends: original, lemon and herb, Cajun, and breaded.
And in the third shot, the Poosh founder and the drummer are seen eating vegan fried chicken from a bucket while in a limousine. Kardashian looks red-carpet ready in a red-and-black harness minidress with a snake print, while Barker again wears only pants and bling. Both accessorize with matching black sunglasses. Call it rocker vegan if you will.
The photos were taken at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont by celebrated fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth, just two days after Kravis’s Las Vegas elopement. Von Unwerth also recently shot their third—and official—wedding, in Italy.
Of why she chose to participate in the campaign, Kardashian said, “I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for the past 13 years, which has made me super conscious of what I put into my body and my kids’ bodies. I’m not fully vegan, but Travis has helped me keep to a mostly plant-based diet, which is so much easier with Daring.”
